HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON SPRAY PAINTING…ENJOY!
1. We have to start off with sanding the surface of the item you are going to paint just so we can smooth out any and all irregularities and to prepare the item so you can paint it. For repainting items, this step may take some time since you will need to remove any surface varnish to allow the paint to stick.
2. Spray primer to cover the whole surface and allow the primer to fully dry.
3. Use slow and even strokes to spray paint the item. Hold the paint can at least 10 to 12 inches from the surface so you won’t get any drips, and move the can in a steady horizontally or vertically movement. Slowly move the can to get light coverage.
4. Allow the paint to fully dry so it is not wet to the touch before applying the second layer.
5. Spray on the second coat of paint in the same way you did the first coat. However this time, move the can in a direction perpendicular to the first coat of paint. If you used a horizontal movement for the first layer, use a vertical movement for this one.
6. Allow the paint to cure completely.
7. To give it a glossy or matte look and to protect the paint, spray on a topcoat or sealant.
